SGC Printing Harry Flatters Rally

Brecon Motor Club first held the Harry Flatters Rally in 1985. It was started by Stuart Cardell and Martin Leonard and the Cardell influence attracted the Stephens & George Print Group as main sponsor, a relationship which endures to this day. The first Harry Flatters was won by Bob Fowden and the late David 'DKW' Williams in the mighty Rover SD1. The event has always been lucky enough to attract decent entries and running modern and historic categories has enhanced its reputation. Currently the rally is part of the prestigious British Historic Rally Championship along with the Welsh Historic Championship, the Welsh Tarmac Championship, King of Epynt and FMP Challenges.

Old Forge Garage - Gremlin Rally

Brecon Motor Club has organised the Gremlin Rally for many years, being part of the Motoring News Championship in itÂ’s hey day, but took a break in the late eighties when rule changes made it impossible to run in the way the club would have liked. The rally was resurrected in the late nineties by Denis Cardell who made it a firm favourite for historic competitors with an element of regularity usually deciding the result. Over the years the rally has had many other clerk's of the course including Octavius Williams who brought the rally to prominence, Graham Richards, Mark Weller and Craig Jones.
