What a cracking Tour, the organising team are overwhelmed by the success which was in no small part the work of Dave McIntyre and his route finding skills. Add to that the wonderful weather and the support of the marshals and it turned out to be a perfect blend. The route took a meander from Talgarth to Builth Wells to begin with and wound around to Garth and over the infamous Concrete Road before arriving at Llangoed for morning coffee and some superb freshly baked Welsh cakes. The second third of the route reached up to Llaneglws and then wound down to Sennybridge for fuel and up to Mynydd Illtyd where a lunch break of forty minutes was available at the Mountain Centre. The home stretch was in sight now and a run up the Ystradfellte hairpins and a drive over the Beacons brought the crews to the Talybont reservoir road and final run into Talgarth via Pencelli and Llanfihangel Tallylyn. A quick welcome by the Mayor, William Powell, was followed by a salad buffet at Gwernyfed Rugby Club.
