Marshals are needed to help with finish control duties on Saturday July 9th at Dixies Corner for the end of the Halfway gravel stage and again on Sunday for the BRC entries which will be having a day out on the Epynt tar. Please let Nigel Chappelle or Martin Leonard know if you can help, new helpers more than welcome. More details on times etc. as we get them.
Brecon Motor club will be marshalling at a number of events in the next few months.
23rd April - MSA Spring Classic - Rolls of Monmouth Golf Club. Classic car event with 100 entries, the club will be organising car parking and booking the cars out. Contact Nigel Chappelle or Martin Leonard if you would like to help.
SWAC Dixies Challenge
1st May - Dixies Challenge - Epynt. The club has been asked to run the service in & out controls. So far there is a great historic entry with 17 Minis on the list! Contact Nigel Chappelle if you can assist.
Leukemia Rally
14th May - Leukemia Rally - Brecon will be running a test at Chepstow racecourse in the morning and afternoon, Nigel Chappelle is not available this year so we could do with a volunteer start crew please. It is a round of the HRCR championship and has a healthy entry already. Contact Martin Leonard if you can help.
Hereford Motor Club Mini Epynt Stages
5th June - Mini Epynt Stages - Epynt. Service area controls again, the entry is always full on this popular event. Contact Nigel Chappelle for details and expression of interest in assisting.
Brecon Motor Club will be marshalling the special stage finish of Crychan which is run twice as stage 1 & 4. It won't be a long day and anyone who would like to help can meet me at the derelict motel at Llywel at 07:15 am on Sunday February 21st.
There is significant club interest with Jason Pritchard, Malcolm Rich, Dai Jones & Glyn Price, Bob & Dale Gibbons, Craig Jones and Jon Hawkins and Jeff Jones & Graham Isaac all entered under the club name.
The club will be marshalling on the upcoming Red Kite Stages on Sunday February 21st. Put it your diaries and more info will be posted when we have it. We usually man a finish control.
There are a number of club members competing, Jason Pritchard, Malcolm Rich, Craig Jones, Bob & Dale Gibbons and Dai Block and Glyn Price in the rebuilt Beemer.
Brecon Motor Club were well represented for marshalling on this years Mewla Rally, a total of 14 turned out for a good days entertainment from the competing crews. The day began dry but rain moved in later to make it more interesting! Thanks to all who ventured up for the day and helped. There was local interest too with Jon Hawkins finishing 8th overall with Chris West in a Peugeot 306 Maxi and Sara Williams finishing 14th overall in her quest for BTRDA points.
