Last weekend a couple of BMC crews were out and about in the Welsh countryside doing their best to beat the clock. Sara Williams was out on the Plains Rally in Mid Wales seeking Welsh Championship points in her Subaru but a rare mechanical failure brought her to a halt on the way back to a service halt when the gearbox gave up the ghost.

Further south in the Gwent valleys Bob Gibbons and Stuart Cardell debuted Bob's 'new' Mk2 Cortina on the Leukaemia Rally. Despite a few problems with a trip that didn't work and a high combined age and weight the duo came home in 14th position overall. Look out for the Cortina on the Gremlin! Photo: Brian Gilbert.
