Sorry this is late, I have been away on motorsport duties elsewhere for the last week and a half.
Jason Pritchard & Martin Jones headed north last weekend to Yorkshire in an attempt to seal the Citroen Cup. Things were going well to begin with, a rapid start helping considerably before mechanical woes halted their progress. The result of this means that Jason still leads the challenge but it will now go down to the last round which will be Wales Rally GB in December.
Meanwhile at Pembrey a number of members were out and about. Chris Phillips accompanied Berkhart Charlieboy in the usual Escort but their championship aspirations were shattered when the diff cried enough whilst in the top ten. Best BMC finisher was Sara Williams who is getting quicker by the rally and finished 18th overall in the Honda. Next best finisher was Ieuan Roberts with Phil Jones following closely behind and Craig Jones and Peter Chappelle behind them! Mark & Beccy Hatton were debuting their new Renault Clio Williams but retired with suspension trouble.
Mike Jones & Robin Moses continued their march towards another class win in the Welsh Road Rally Championship with a solid finish on the Breidden Rally and are currently lying 6th overall in the championship. With one round to go BMC wishes them the best of luck.
