Well, another two hillcimbs complete and I think a good weekend had by all. Our thanks at Brecon Motor Club to Dennis Motorsport. Brian and Tim for their continued support and for their enthisiastic participation. Thanks also have to go to our customers, the competitors and to all the volunteer officials and marshals who combine to make the event happen.
This year the weather kept true to form and after many weeks of dry conditions it became wet again on the morning. The rain did not dampen spirits though and there were plenty of smiling faces in the paddock. Day one saw Viv Joy in the recovery truck busy too, a few competitors getting over enthusiastic in the slippery conditions! At the end of the first day Colin Satchell who had travelled up from Devon topped the time sheets to take FTD in his very special Peugeot 205 but on Sunday his time of 50.28 in less favourable conditions was surpassed by the extremely rapid Caterham of Simon Rogers with a time of 45.75 with Colin getting down to 47.17.
All in all it was very well supported and the club is grateful to the championships which lend their invaluable support.
Saturday FTD, Colin Satchell
Sunday FTD and course record for Simon Rogers
Ten ladies competed on the Sunday, a fantastic turn out and all were trying extremely hard!
